Amazon pays to quit, start delivery biz

Amazon is looking to boost delivery times through contract carriers but it doesn’t want to lay off employees. It wants to pay them to quit… and start their own Amazon delivery business.

The Associated Press reports Amazon will pay up to $10,000 in startup costs and three months salary to employees accepted in the program. Since June, more than 200 Amazon delivery businesses have given rise.
