Big Mouth‘s Missy has a new voice.

Two months after Jenny Slate bowed out of playing the animated bi-racial character on the hit Netflix show, Ayo Edebiri will pick up the reigns.

The change will take place starting with the penultimate episode of the fourth season. Co-creator Andrew Goldberg told Variety it didn’t make sense to have Edebiri just redo Slate’s work, noting, “That’s not a way for her to make it her own.”

Speaking to Variety as well, Edebiri said the character is perfect for her, revealing, “I was definitely a very uncomfortable child, so I think the show speaks to that and a lot of those feelings, which still resonate with me as an adult.”

What do you think about the change? How much of an impact will this have on the character?
