Side projects are nothing new for blink-182 members, who have all broken off to different projects over the years (+44, Angels & Airwaves, Box Car Racer, Simple Creatures, etc.). While blink-182 works on their latest album, Mark Hoppus has been busy with his new side project, Simple Creatures.

When asked at a recent press conference, Hoppus confirmed the band had discussed the realistic option of a blink-182 tour with the side projects being the opening acts.

They even discussed having Alkaline Trio as one of the openers as well, to cover the Matt Skiba angle (who joined the band in 2015).

As a fan of all of these projects, I am all for this happening!
