Chris Martin Falls Through Trap Door During Coldplay Concert

Coldplay are known for surprising their fans during concerts – but this wasn’t the kind of surprise Chris Martin had in mind.

The singer was performing in Melbourne, Australia when he stepped backwards and accidentally fell into an open trap door on the stage.

The audience gasped, but Martin appeared to be all right.  He climbed out while ad-libbing “That’s, uh… not planned.”

He also thanked someone beneath the stage for catching him and joked “That will be a YouTube moment.”
