It looks like Slipknot’s new album won’t be ready in time for its previously-announced Spring release.

Frontman Corey Taylor says although the band has finished laying down their tracks, the mixing process has been bogged down because the band is “lazy.” He says, “We don’t have a hard date yet ’cause we’re lazy and we’re still mixing the damn thing. I can tell you it’s completely recorded and we’re about halfway through mixing it. So, to me, I would say probably two or three months. That’s my ballpark.”

Meanwhile, the masked band is preparing to set out on their “Knotfest Roadshow” tour, which gets underway on March 16th in Fargo.

Being that Slipknot is about to embark on a tour, do you expect the new album to drop even later than Taylor is predicting?
