Courtney Love, Nirvana Members Unite In Legal Battle Over Logo

Courtney Love hasn’t always gotten along with surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, but they’re united in a new lawsuit against designer Marc Jacobs.
The trio, along with Love’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain, are suing Jacobs over a design they claim rips off the iconic Nirvana logo featuring a yellow smiley face. Jacobs’ design uses his initial ‘M’ and ‘J’ for the eyes, and replaces ‘Nirvana’ with ‘Heaven’. The resemblance is tough to miss.
Jacobs is defending himself by claiming he created the original ‘grunge’ look back in the 90’s.
