Dave Grohl Calls Foo Fighter’s Upcoming Album Their Version Of David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’

Had the coronavirus pandemic not struck, Foo Fighters would be out on the road, celebrating their 25th anniversary and playing songs off their upcoming album.

Instead, Dave Grohl spent Sunday with his mother Virginia, talking about her book about other moms to rock stars, From Cradle to Stage.

During the interview, the Foos frontman dropped a few hints about the band’s 10th studio effort. “It’s filled with anthemic, huge, sing-along rock songs. It’s kind of like a dance record, but not an EDM, disco, modern dance record. It’s got groove,” Grohl reveals.

Singing the album’s praises, Grohl adds, “To me, it’s our David Bowie’s Let’s Dance record. That’s what we wanted to make, we wanted to make this really up, fun record.”

Which other bands are readying new records? Which will you grab as soon as it’s released?
