Had it not been for the pandemic, hard rock fans would be gearing up to see their favorite bands in two weeks.

Instead, the Download Festival’s UK leg will go virtual, with System Of A Down, KISS, and Iron Maiden “headlining”.

None will be playing live from their homes though. Rather, there will be past performances cut together and streamed during the set times.

Calling itself Download TV, the event kicks off Friday, June 12th, and runs through Sunday, the 14th, with Korn, Deftones, Babymetal, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Creeper, The Offspring, Funeral For A Friend, The Darkness, Bowling For Soup and more providing content.

What do you think of the plan for this year? Would you prefer seeing a current performance from the bands rather than old footage?
