Elon Musk Granting ‘Amnesty’ To Suspended Twitter Accounts

Elon Musk’s latest Twitter move?  Offering ‘amnesty’ to suspended accounts.

On Thursday, Musk polled Twitter users on whether or not the platform should reactivate banned accounts.  Voters said ‘yes’ by a 72% margin.

The reinstatement will not apply to accounts that have “broken the law or engaged in egregious spam”, Musk says.

Musk has already reactivated the Twitter accounts of controversial figures like Donald Trump and Kanye West.

Is this the right move?  Or is Musk desperately trying to increase Twitter engagement while the platform loses advertisers?
