First Photograph Of A Black Hole

While they’ve been widely accepted to be real, scientists have been unable to capture photographs of black holes, until now.
A team of 200 scientists pointed networked telescopes towards M87, a massive galaxy in the nearby Virgo galaxy cluster. After scanning its heart over a period of 10 days, they were finally able to capture the very first photo of a black hole.
The image helps confirm Einstein’s general relativity theory. Einstein a century ago even predicted the symmetrical shape that scientists just found.
