There go our heroes! Foo Fighters were just one of the acts to take part in the Save Our Stages festival over the weekend, all of which was done digitally.

Performing for a little over half an hour, Foo Fighters played a five song set: “Skin and Bones,” “My Hero,” “These Days,” Times Like These,” and “Everlong.” You can check out the whole set on Foo Fighters Youtube channel.

The band also shared memories of performing at the venue and frontman Dave Grohl explained the importance of small venues like The Troubadour. “It’s crucial that we do everything we can to make sure that these venues survive in order to inspire the next generation of musicians to go on and do beautiful things with their lives like make music,” said Grohl. “So please donate anything you can cause we’re really hoping that we can save these smaller venues,” he urged.

The #SaveOurStages campaign was put on in through the National Independent Venue Association, which is looking for financial and community support for over 2,800 venues in all 50 U.S. states.

What is the best place you’ve seen a band perform at? Do you think it is important to save these smaller venues from closing? What is your favorite Foo Fighters song?
