Fyre Festival Organizer Billy McFarland Released From Prison Early

Who could forget the infamous 2017 Fyre Festival? Netflix even made a documentary about it.

Billy McFarland, the organizer behind the event, was sentenced to six years in prison.

The music event was to take place in the Bahamas and then everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

McFarland pled guilty to two counts of wire fraud in federal court which resulted in a six year sentence.

Now he is out of jail two years early.

He is staying at a halfway house in NYC. He is expected to stay there until August.

Was four years enough time for his crime?
