General Motors Ordered To Proceed With Recall Of 727,000 SUVs

General Motors has been ordered to go forward with a recall of more than 727,000 SUVs with headlights that are too bright.

The company had asked the NHTSA for permission to skip the recall, arguing it didn’t affect road safety.

But federal regulators refused, saying the lights are up to three times brighter than allowed and can cause a potentially dangerous glare for other drivers.

The recall would involve GMC Terrain SUVs from 2010-2017.

Are ‘too bright’ headlights dangerous on the road?
