The federal government is going to start providing at-home Covid test kits for free.
The Biden administration said yesterday that tests will be mailed to any U.S. household that requests one.
The news comes as the omicron variant of the coronavirus contributes to a spike in new cases.
The White House will ship as many as 500 million kits and it is setting up a website for people to submit their requests.
The federal government also plans to set up 20-thousand new testing sites nationwide.
Will you get a home Covid test to keep around the house?
