The popular Justice League game Injustice: Gods Among Us is being turned into an animated film.

The upcoming film, which was penned by “Batman: Hush” writer Ernie Altbacker, is expected to follow the story told in the game and subsequent graphic novel: After Superman is tricked into killing Lois Lane, he loses his mind — setting up a catastrophic battle between DC superheroes.

The flick is set to debut on streaming networks and Warner home video October 19th.

Is DC sometimes guilty of telling the same stories over and over again? Will people be interested in the animated movie when a 3-D animated version can be viewed in the game’s story mode?
