James Cameron Says ‘Avatar 3’ Is Still Two Years Away

James Cameron says the next Avatar movie is still at least two years away.

While filming for Avatar 3 was completed at the same time as last year’s sequel The Way of Water, Cameron says he has a “very hectic two years of post-production” ahead before the movie is finished.

A total of five Avatar movies are planned, with the last one not arriving until 2031.
