It an end of an era! Jim Carrey has stepped down from his duties of playing President-Elect Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live.

He shared the news on Twitter, saying, “Though my term was only meant to be 6 weeks, I was thrilled to be elected as your SNL President…comedy’s highest call of duty would love to go forward knowing that Biden was the victor because I nailed that s–t. But I am just one in a long line of proud, fighting SNL Bidens!”

According to sources, it was Carrey’s decision to end the gig. Another source adds that since he lives in L.A., it was difficult to travel back and forth long-term.

Who do you think should step into the role?
