John Frusciante is enjoying his latest stint with the Red Hot Chili Peppers a lot more than previous ones.
The guitarist told NME that he and his bandmates “put a lot less ego” into the songwriting for their upcoming album Unlimited Love.
He said: “It wasn’t so much a competition thing as really wanting to give a part of ourselves to one another – being excited to listen to what the others were bringing in.”
Unlimited Love will be out April 1st. The first single, “Black Summer”, was released last week.
What’s the ‘definitive’ Red Hot Chili Peppers lineup in your mind?
