We’ve all been tempted to stay up just a few minutes later to finish watching a T.V. show, movie, etc. But according to a recent study, those few minutes can cause havoc on your workday.

Participants of the study done by the University of South Florida reported that when they slept just 16 minutes less than usual, they experienced issues focusing and processing information the next day. This raised their stress levels, making them less productive.

The study also compared work-days to weekends. They conclude the consequences of less sleep is not as apparent when one has the next day off from work.

Do you have a set time you go to bed during the work week? If so, does altering your sleep schedule impact your performance at work?
