LinkedIn To Lay Off Hundreds Of People Amid Broader Restructuring

More than 660 people, or more than 3% of LinkedIn’s worldwide workforce, will be let go from its engineering, product, talent, and finance departments, the business recently revealed.

This is the second significant wave of layoffs this year for the social networking site focused on careers and career-building.

As the company leans more heavily on AI, the site will add more tools to the platform to help the site expand and provide a better premium experience.

The company said, “Talent changes are a difficult, but necessary and regular part of managing our business.”

It continued, “While we are adapting our organizational structures and streamlining our decision making, we are continuing to invest in strategic priorities for our future and to ensure we continue to deliver value for our members and customers.”

The statement added that they will be “committed to providing our full support to all impacted employees during this transition and ensuring that they are treated with care and respect.”
