Linkin Park Co-founder Invests in Tech Company Using Human NFTs

Mike Shinoda, the co-founder of rock band Linkin Park, has invested in the startup company, Hologram, which transforms users’ avatars into human NFTs during video meetings.

For the time being, Hologram is a Chrome add-on that enables users to log in with their cryptocurrency wallets and transform into animated NFT avatars.

According to the company, their real-time algorithm uses machine learning, works entirely within the browser, and does not gather user information. It has the ability to change your voice as well.

In a brief video the company shared on Twitter, six users joined a Google Meet session and used animated avatars that monitored their movements and moved in sync with them. Regarding the final product, the idea is comparable to an Instagram or TikTok filter but far more robust.

Would you use an avatar to conduct meetings?
