LMPD Officer Nickolas Wilt Named Kentuckian of the Year for His Exemplary Service

In a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional dedication, Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) Officer Nickolas Wilt has been honored as the Kentuckian of the Year.

This prestigious award highlights Officer Wilt’s outstanding service and commitment to his community.

Wilt was one of the first LMPD officers on the scene of the mass shooting at Old National Bank back in April. Police said his response likely saved lives. He is finally back home rehabbing after being shot in the head during the incident.

The award ceremony is currently set for November 4th, 2023.
