Lollapalooza Festival Led To Record Marijuana Sales In Illinois

Business in booming in Illinois – at least in the state’s new legal marijuana industry.
Sales of recreational cannabis surged to a record $127.8 million last month. The biggest reason? Last week’s Lollapalooza festival, which was held for the first time since marijuana sales become legal in January 2020.
Illinois has already generated over $750 million in revenue from marijuana sales so far in 2021 – more than all of last year.
How long will it take before marijuana is legal nationwide? Should it be?
