Man Who Is Not Oli Sykes Is Tired Of Getting BMTH Fanmail

Oliver Sykes is starting to regret his choice of email address.

That’s because Sykes – a children’s author from the UK – happens to share a name with Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes – and gets hundreds of emails from fans confusing him for their favorite rock star.

He says his inbox started filling up when BMTH broke big in 2008 – he’s responded to more than 1,000 misdirected emails in the years since.

So is the non-famous Oliver Sykes a BMTH fan?  Not really.  He told Metro UK “I had a listen to their first albums and it sounded to me like somebody was pulling the brakes on a bicycle in dire need of some oil.”
