Did you catch 11-year-old Maya Neelakantan’s face-melting performance of “Master Of Puppets” on America’s Got Talent?

It turns out that it only happened thanks to special permission from Metallica!

The 11-year-old guitar prodigy says Metallica gave her permission to play the song live – the first time they’ve ever allowed their music on AGT.

Maya said she wanted to “make Metallica proud”, and there’s no doubt she did – bringing the house down with a cover that incorporated elements of traditional Indian music.
