Microsoft Preserving Music On Glass For ‘Doomsday Vault’

Microsoft is working to ensure that music is preserved for future generations – but putting it on glass.

The company has developed a method for storing music on a glass platter that can store up to 100 gigabytes of data.

The glass plates will then be stored in the so-called ‘Doomsday Vault’ in Svalbard, Norway, where the plates will be immune to electromagnetic radiation or other environmental harm.

What else would you like to store in the ‘Doomsday Vault’?
