Game 1 of the NBA Finals delivered the lowest TV ratings for the post-season since 1994 — and they only went downhill from there.

Game 2 brought in a mere 4.5 million viewers, making it the lowest-rating Finals game in NBA history, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But its tenure as the least-watched Finals game proved to be short-lived as Game 3 brought in even less viewers: 4.395 million, per the Reporter.

Overall, ratings for the 2020 NBA Finals are down a whopping 70 percent compared to last year’s post-season playoffs, Breitbart reports.

Why are people less interested in basketball this year? Will viewers return next year, or does the NBA need to make some changes so the game will be more interesting?
