The opening of Orlando’s Super Nintendo World has been pushed back until 2025.

That’s according to Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, who blames the two-year delay on the coronavirus pandemic.

The amusement park is expected to be similar to Japan’s original Super Nintendo World, which features such attractions as a “real world” Mario Kart ride, a life-size recreation of Princess Peach’s castle and dozens of SNES-themed restaurants and gift shops, organizers say.

Why do you think organizers decided to go with a 30-year old gaming platform for the park’s theme? Would a “Nintendo Switch World” attract more people?
