Paramore Returns After Six Years with New Sound

After spending six years apart from one another and working on their solo projects, Paramore has created their sixth album, “This Is Why,” which takes everything that fans have loved about them in the past and makes it stronger.

The band is back with a 10-track, politically charged, edgy post-punk record released through Atlantic Records, six years after their 80s synth-pop-inspired 2017 album “After Laughter.”

Every sharp riff and snappy drumbeat on this album is jaggedly out of place and rhythmically off the beat, giving the impression that guitarist York and drummer Farro have tuned in their old Vic Chesnutt and Gang of Four recordings.

Have you listened to Paramore’s new album? What did you think?
