Passport Delays Affecting Summer Travel Plans

Planning to travel abroad this summer?  You better hope your passport is already up to date.

A backlog of U.S passport applications is derailing summer travel plans, with many Americans forced to wait several months for their passport to arrive.

The reason?  A massive backlog still lingering from the pandemic, along with increases in travel this year.

The passport agency is receiving about 500,000 requests per day, with an average wait time of 90 days for an appointment.
