Prophets Of Rage Disband As RATM Reunites
The good news is that Rage Against The Machine is reuniting and will tour in 2020. The bad news? This means Prophets of Rage are disbanding for now.
Prophets of Rage launched in 2016, featuring RATM’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk alongside rappers Chuck D of Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill.
Chuck D bid farewell to the Prophets on Twitter, saying the band was “about doing something greater than self”. B-Real wrote “It’s been a great time and great memories in a short time”.
It was about doing something greater than self. 2020 keeping ZDLR spot warm for @RATM & powering a ????statement for 1000 days was a honorable truth mission in the hours of chaos from the jump… And so the bands rock on…. Last week, Rage Against The Machine announced a reunion and slate of 2020 tour dates including a performance at next year’s Coachella festival.
Are you disappointed to see Prophets of Rage go away? Do you think the project will return one day?
