When not rocking stages worldwide with Radiohead, Jonny Greenwood spends his time composing classical music.

In an effort to help audiences see the style as “vital and passionate” and grow a greater interest in the musicians, the guitarist has started his own record label.

Octatonic will only record soloists and small groups performing original compositions as well as more traditional pieces, plus Greenwood’s own work.

“I stand in awe of classically trained UK musicians: a 20-something carrying a cello case will always be more impressive than someone with a guitar,” says Greenwood of the launch.
