Report: Deadpool will Play a Major Role in MCU Multiverse Saga

If reports are true, Deadpool is not only heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he’ll also play a key role in the franchise’s multiverse saga.

Quoting an unidentified “trusted source,” We’ve Got This Covered reports “Deadpool 3” — which is currently being written — will feature the character’s jump from the disconnected Fox franchise to the MCU. The online entertainment source goes on to say he’ll “be a significant part” of the new storyline.

In addition to “Deadpool 3,” Marvel has three projects on the way that will deal with the multiverse: “What If …?,” “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

Tonally, will Deadpool feel out of place in the MCU? Will Marvel be able to generate the level of excitement it did for the infinity stone saga?
