Sam Fender Cancels Upcoming US Tour Dates Due to Mental Health

To protect his mental health, singer and songwriter Sam Fender has canceled the upcoming dates of his U.S. tour, according to an announcement he made on Instagram on Monday, September 12.

“It seems completely hypocritical of me to advocate discussion on mental health and write songs about it if I don’t take the time to look after my own mental health,” the 28-year-old said.

Sam has promoted mental health awareness through his music, and in an interview in 2018, he discussed how his song “Dead Boys” addresses mental health struggles.
