Labor Day is traditionally not a great movie weekend. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings may have changed that.

The movie brought in $71.4 million, smashing the Labor Day record. When you add in the three day overseas total of $56.2 million that brings the grand total to $127.6 million for the weekend.

The movie cost $150 million to make.

The movie is being offered exclusively in theaters for 45 days.
