Taylor is planning to open up on his new solo debut album, which he recently announced he has finished.

In an interview with SiriusXM’s TrunkNation, Taylor states the album is largely comprised of songs that “didn’t fit” for Slipknot, and his secondary band Stone Sour.

Taylor says after years of people constantly asking him for a solo, he just kept thinking about it and decided to go for it.

He recorded 25 songs in two and a half weeks – during a time most of us were in quarantine.

The recording process was quick because he already knew who he wanted to work with and what sound he was going for. And the songs, well he has been working on those for years, the first track is a song he started writing in high school!
