SNL Gives ‘Mario Kart’ The ‘Last Of Us’ Treatment

With The Last Of Us star Pedro Pascal hosting Saturday Night Live, you knew we’d see a video game parody or two – and they certainly delivered.

Pascal starred as Mario in the trailer for a gritty, post-apocalytpic version of Mario Kart.

You’ll see gritty reboots of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, and Bowser – as well as Mario Kart staples like banana peels and red shells.

Could a Mario Kart TV show actually work?  What kind of show would it be?
