Spotify announced, via a tweet published Thursday, that it now has 70 million paid subscribers. As a comparison, in September, Apple Music claimed 30 million subscribers and Deezer had fewer than 10 million subscribers. Spotify is offering a cheaper tier.
For 99 cents a month, the plan will keep the ads but give you unlimited skips per hour.
It will let you select specific songs on an album or playlist for playback.
Currently, free users can only skip 6 songs per hour and have to listen to shuffled songs on albums and playlists.
What means more to you, freedom to listen to what you want and skip what you want OR no ads at all?
