Staind Announces 1st Album In More Than A Decade

After taking an 11-year break from recording, the members of Staind have revealed a new album is on the way.

The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2011’s Staind is expected to drop sometime next year, says guitarist Mike Mushok, who blames the delay on two things: the coronavirus pandemic and frontman Aaron Lewis’ busy solo career. “Aaron’s built up a great following and a great career that he’ll fully pursue,” Mushok says. “If we can do some Staind shows in there, it would be great. If we can find a week here or there or maybe a tour every now and then, I’d be cool with that. I’m kind of taking it as it comes, one day at a time.”

Staind kicked off a brief tour over the weekend in Niagara Falls, New York. The trek wraps up on September 23rd in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

How different is Lewis’ solo work from the music he makes in Staind?
