Eminem made a comeback with the release of his new song, “Houdini,” from his potentially final album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

The track samples the Steve Miller Band’s hit “Abracadabra,” prompting a positive response from Steve Miller himself, who praised Eminem for his originality and respect for musical influences.

In the lengthy post, Miller wrote about the cross-sections of thought, music, and rhythm that have inspired the whole world for hundreds of years. He acknowledged his favorites and expressed his gratitude for receiving the same recognition from Eminem.

“Marshall Mathers you are an exception and on my short list of people who respect the art. To be included in your process feels good while I’m still singing and playing the music I love,” wrote Miller.

What do you think of Eminem’s song “Houdini?”
