Sully Erna Says Godsmack Doesn’t Need To Keep Making New Music

Godsmack’s most recent album Lighting Up The Sky will supposedly be their last one – and frontman Sully Erna says he’s comfortable with the decision.

In an interview with KLOS’s ‘Whiplash’, Erna said “We just think it’s time to let the catalog do its job”.

He says the band just wants to “go out there, honor the best of the songs, put together a really fun, big, full-impact greatest-hits show and do what we do best”.

Lighting Up The Sky was released last month, and Godsmack will launch a U.S. tour in May.

Do you want your favorite bands to keep making new music, or just ‘play the hits’?
