‘Super Mario Bros.’ Movie Delayed

Cue the sad 8-bit song of our people…

You are going to have to wait a little longer to see the Super Mario Bros. movie based on the popular video game series.

The film’s release has been postponed from December of this year until April 7, 2023.

Game creator Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed the news on Twitter. “My deepest apologies but I promise it will be well worth the wait.”

The Super Mario Bros. animated movie features a star-studded cast doing the voiceovers, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, and Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong.

Would you say Mario and Luigi are two of the most beloved heroes in pop culture? Who are some other iconic dynamic (animated) duos?
