Tesla is recalling nearly its entire fleet of vehicles over an issue with the warning light.
The NHTSA says the font size on the instrument panel is too small, making the brake warning lights too hard to read.
No crashes, injuries, or deaths related to the issue have been reported.
A total of 2.2 million vehicles are being recalled, including the 2012-2023 Model S, 2016-2024 Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3, 2019-2024 Model Y, and 2024 Cybertruck.
The issue will be fixed via a free over-the-air software update. Affected owners will also be notified by letter.
