"The Most Beautiful Piece of Music," According to Dave Grohl

If you’re Dave Grohl, you’ve heard a lot of music in your life.

Grohl once revealed what he thought was the “most beautiful” music he’s ever heard.

In a 2013 interview on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, Grohl talked about the music of the ’70s and one standout.

“There is something about that era of music, where you had all of these incredibly gifted songwriters who were really proficient in their playing,” Grohl said. “Someone like Andrew Gold […] I swear to god, he sang this song called ‘Never Let Her Slip Away’. Dude, this song is not a huge hit in America, but it’s the most beautiful piece of music ever written.”
