The Offspring’s Dexter Holland Happy with Decision to Sell Band’s Catalog

The Offspring’s Dexter Holland has opened up about selling the band’s catalog in 2016.

In an interview with Billboard, Holland discusses the $35 million deal that resulted in selling off The Offspring’s catalog to Round Hill Music.

“At the end of the day, we just decided to sell it,” said Holland. “I’m glad we did it, and Round Hill was the right partner to go with. And the great thing about being in a band is you can always make new songs.”

Included in the catalog sale was The Offspring’s breakthrough album, Smash, which features songs “Self Esteem” and “Come Out and Play.”
