Tinder Is Making Criminal Background Checks Available On Dating App

Tinder is taking another step to help you notice red flags about potential dates.
Beginning this week, Tinder users will see a background check tool in the popular dating app’s Safety Center.
For a small fee, users can conduct background checks through an agency that searches public arrest records, convictions, and sex offender registries across the country.
But, experts also caution this won’t necessarily catch every single violent individual out there because research has shown that sexual crimes are often not reported to authorities.
