Thirteen years is a long time to wait. So when Tool finally released Fear Inoculum last week, fans immediately went out to get their hands on the band’s fifth studio album.

And while Taylor Swift’s latest, Lover, went straight to number 1 after dropping on August 23, it doesn’t look like it will remain there for long.

Hits Daily Double says that Tool is currently on pace to dethrone the pop icon on the sales charts, moving around 240-260,000 albums worth of total activity compared to Swift’s 185-200,000.

Of course, the Swifties aren’t too thrilled, with many taking to social media to complain about this band unseating their hero.

What do you think is driving the figures?
