Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is branching out, launching his own record label, DTA Records, this month.

Barker says his goal with DTA Records is “true artist development”, adding “It’s crucial that I’m able to look an artist in the eye and believe it when I say we can take them from a basement to an arena.”

DTA’s first release, the single “Gimme Brain”, includes hip-hop stars Rick Ross and Lil Wayne, who joined Blink-182 on their recent Enema Of The State anniversary tour.

If you had your own record label, what kind of music would you focus on?
