Is Elon Musk trying to collect your vital signs?

X – formerly Twitter – is rolling out a new privacy policy that for some reason mentions collecting ‘biometric information’.

The text: “Based on your consent, we may collect and use your biometric information for safety, security, and identification purposes”.

The policy does not include any details on how that information might be collected, or what X plans to do with it.

The policy also mentions collecting “employment history, educational history, employment preferences, skills and abilities, job search activity and engagement.”

Why do you think they’re interested in biometric information?  Do you call it ‘X’, or still call it Twitter?
