BabyNames.com says searches for “Barbie” increased 300 percent in July. “Ken” searches went up 200 percent in the same month.

Some users are adding the titular names to their favorites list. Barbie means “stranger,” and Ken means “handsome.” Barbie reached popularity in 1964, while Ken peaked in 1963.
